First of all I would like to thank everyone for the birthday wishes Thursday.

I told Mitzi all I wanted for my birthday was to cook out with the family, so she decided to buy me a new Weber grill and invite the family over Friday. Perfect! I am very easy going. I don't need gifts, although they are all nice... I just like to get together with my family.

Thursday (birthday day!) I flew down and back to Charlotte for a shoot with Evan Williams Bass Master Champion- Jason Quinn. The segment will air on NASCAR RaceDay on SPEED during the Talladega Race. Jason is a great guy. He has a very cool job- Fishing.. How would you like to have to go fishing for work? The thing is, I could go fishing everyday of my life, I just don't think anyone would pay me for what I catch.

Funny story real quick- While we were shooting in Charlotte, Jimmy Spencer just walked on the set and said "Hey Chef- What's up?". He started moving props around and chatting. I told him we were shooting a segment, but he said "if you were shooting a segment, the producer would not have let me on the set. He stuck around for a little while longer and then left. It was pretty funny. He is a character (and a very nice guy!!
